Basketball Recap: Heritage Academy Heroes vs. Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils
Heritage Academy won the last time they faced Santa Cruz Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Heritage Academy Heroes walked away with a 59-52 win over the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Heroes.
Danye Sypho was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 24 en route to 26 points and eight boards. Brenden Whetten was another key player, putting up nine points.
Heritage Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
