Softball Recap: Greenbrier West Has No Trouble Against Richwood

While Greenbrier West put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Richwood. The Cavaliers were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Lumberjacks. Considering the Cavaliers have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Preslee Treadway was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Greenbrier West is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Richwood, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Greenbrier West will challenge Van at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Richwood, they will take on Calhoun at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
