Westminster Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Chaminade-Madonna an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won ten contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mya Rodgers made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Jasmine Armenteros was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Kelsie Kenny was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Westminster Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oxbridge Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Palmer Trinity on Wednesday. The ThunderWolves haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Riley Lyons, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiya Glucksman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Westminster Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Oxbridge Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Westminster Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Oxbridge Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
