Soccer Game Preview: Tonasket vs. Oroville

Tonasket is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Oroville a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Tonasket Tigers will be playing at home against the Oroville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Tonasket's offense. They came up short against Quincy on Tuesday, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, Oroville came up short against Brewster on Thursday and fell 4-2. While losing is never fun, Oroville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Brewster are ranked 66th).

Oroville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Tonasket, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Tonasket beat Oroville by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
