Football Game Preview: Appoquinimink Jaguars vs. William Penn Colonials + Official Tickets

The Appoquinimink Jaguars will challenge the William Penn Colonials at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Appoquinimink will be strutting in after a victory while William Penn will be coming in after a loss.

Appoquinimink is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Hodgson Vo-Tech, who was ranked 16th at the time (Appoquinimink was ranked third). The Jaguars blew past the Eagles, posting a 42-6 win. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 34 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, William Penn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Caravel Academy on the road by a 28-12 margin.

William Penn's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Appoquinimink, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Appoquinimink was able to grind out a solid victory over William Penn when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 20-13. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colonials turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
