Softball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott lost against Bishop Brossart back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 11-10. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scott got a massive performance out of Ashlyn Riley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Elise Manhardt was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Scott now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Bishop Brossart, their win bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

Looking ahead, Scott will head out on the road to challenge Campbell County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Camels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop Brossart, they will be playing at home against Villa Madonna at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season.
