Baseball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Rison

While Rison didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Bauxite Miners on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Rison pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Bauxite, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Rison will challenge DeWitt at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bauxite, they will face off against Bismarck at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
