Recap: Wooster Colts vs. South Tahoe Vikings
The Wooster Colts won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-44 walloping at the hands of South Tahoe. Wooster has not had much luck with South Tahoe recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Tahoe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Wolfe, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Mathews, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Wooster has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for South Tahoe, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wooster will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against North Valleys at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. North Valleys presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wooster in Nevada (North Valleys is ranked 20th, while Wooster is ranked 72nd). As for South Tahoe, they will head out on the road to face off against Sparks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
