Football Recap: Braylen Loftin and Sam Finch Secure Win for Fike

Fike lost to C.B. Aycock back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Golden Demons secured a 40-34 W over the Golden Falcons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Demons.

A big part of Fike's win came down to the chemistry between Sam Finch and his top target Braylen Loftin. Finch rushed for 54 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Loftin picked up 68 receiving yards and two TDs. Loftin is becoming a predictor of Fike's success: when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Demari Lewis, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Fike didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Devarian Archie and Loftin. Archie is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Fike's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for C.B. Aycock, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
