Volleyball Recap: Gabi Wimsatt's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Training Center Christian over El Dorado Christian

After flying high against Bethel Academy on Monday, Training Center Christian came back down to earth. Training Center Christian fell just short of the El Dorado Christian Buffalos by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for Training Center Christian in their meetings with El Dorado Christian: they've now lost five in a row.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Training Center Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-14, 12-25, 15-10.

Training Center Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gabi Wimsatt, who had four aces and three blocks.

Training Center Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for El Dorado Christian, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Training Center Christian will square off against Fort Scott Christian Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for El Dorado Christian, they will host Center Place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
