Basketball Recap: Adna Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Adna won the last time they faced Rainier and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Adna Pirates came out on top against the Rainier Mountaineers by a score of 47-38.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adna to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevin Salme, who posted 11 points and five steals. Salme has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Humphrey, who put up 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Adna is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Rainier, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adna will host Onalaska at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Adna is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.6 points per game this season. As for Rainier, they will face off against Napavine at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Napavine will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Rainier surely won't give up without a fight.
