Recap: North Cross Raiders vs. Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES
The North Cross Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Roanoke Valley Christian, posting a 56-21 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory North Cross has managed all season.
North Cross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dajah Garrison, who scored nine points along with four steals. Garrison is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cate Overton, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
North Cross' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Roanoke Valley Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Cross will take on Westover Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roanoke Valley Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Dayspring Christian Academy at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
