Basketball Recap: Kaylynn Orr and Alivia Peoples Secure Win for Anderson Prep Academy

Anderson Prep Academy extended their postseason success on Saturday against Indiana School for the Deaf. They enjoyed a cozy 48-31 victory over the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers. Winning may never get old, but the Jets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Anderson Prep Academy was led to victory by Alivia Peoples and Kaylynn Orr. Peoples dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds, while Orr went 7-for-17 to rack up 17 points along with six boards and four steals. Peoples' evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Samarieya Moody also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Anderson Prep Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Indiana School for the Deaf still got an impressive performance from Tiana Starayev, who went 7-for-16 on her way to 15 points and six steals. Starayev is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Anderson Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

Anderson Prep Academy has already played their next matchup, a 44-37 victory against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 15th. Indiana School for the Deaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
