Baseball Game Preview: Beecher Bobcats vs. Hoopeston Cornjerkers

The Beecher Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Hoopeston Cornjerkers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beecher hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Wednesday, Beecher didn't have quite enough to beat Peotone and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Hoopeston came up short against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on Monday, falling 15-7. The Cornjerkers have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Zach Huchel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Hoopeston's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Beecher, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.
