South Newton was the 6-5 winner over North Judson-San Pierre when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays on Saturday. Even though they lost, the Rebels' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Briley Iseminger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and eight unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Cora Groover was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tinley Hoaks, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

South Newton's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

South Newton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against DeMotte Christian on the 11th. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-12 win against Rensselaer Central on the 11th.
