Baseball Recap: Healdton Comes Up Short

Healdton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-0 to the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 17-7 to the Badgers when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Healdton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Elmore City-Pernell, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Healdton will welcome Wilson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Healdton's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Elmore City-Pernell, they will take on Wynnewood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
