Football Recap: Justin Dominguez and Enzo Hairabedian Secure Win for Legacy

There's no place like home for Legacy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 12-8 win over the Inlet Grove Hurricanes on Thursday.

Leading Legacy to victory were Enzo Hairabedian and Justin Dominguez. Hairabedian rushed for 113 yards, while Dominguez rushed for 84 yards. The dominant performance also gave Dominguez a new career-high in passing yards (42).

Legacy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alonte Polen and Quinten Dacres. Legacy got some further help from Christopher Bazile: he picked up two sacks and made 13 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Inlet Grove lost, don't look at Ciniger Smith. Despite the final result, he picked up 129 receiving yards, and also rushed for 90 yards. Smith has become a key player for the Hurricanes: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Inlet Grove also got help from Dwayne Jones, who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.

Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Inlet Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Legacy will square off against Pahokee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Inlet Grove, they will take on Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
