Basketball Game Preview: BELIEVE Circle City Cyclones vs. Tindley Tigers

BELIEVE Circle City hasn't had much luck against Tindley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The BELIEVE Circle City Cyclones will host the Tindley Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Saturday, BELIEVE Circle City took a blow against Herron, falling 47-20.

Despite the loss, BELIEVE Circle City saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jazmyn Brown posted 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cordarionna Kirkwood, who put up four points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Tindley had to suffer through a 66-21 loss at the hands of Purdue Polytechnic. The Tigers have struggled against the Techies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Alonah Savage was Tindley's leading scorer, having posted six points. Savage also led the team in rebounds with nine. Rachel Day took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

BELIEVE Circle City's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Tindley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Tuesday's contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Justyce Hunt and Ariauanna Hall. Hunt has been dynamite this season: she has averaged 11.8 points, 2.7 steals, and 3 boards. For her part, Hall has averaged 15.5 points, 4.7 steals, and 5.9 rebounds.

BELIEVE Circle City might still be hurting after the 59-36 defeat they got from Tindley in their previous matchup back in January of 2024.
