Basketball Recap: Teays Valley Christian Lions vs. Victory Baptist Academy Saints
Teays Valley Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 60-56 to the Victory Baptist Academy Saints on Tuesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.
Victory Baptist Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Cormican, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 23 points and three steals. That's the most points Cormican has posted since back in December of 2024. Nathan Dillon was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

This will also be the Saints' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
