East Rutherford posted their closest win since August 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the West Lincoln Rebels 3-2. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

East Rutherford wouldn't go down easily and took West Lincoln into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 16-14.

Despite the loss, West Lincoln had strong showings from Gabrielle Wright, who had 14 digs and five aces, and Kaylee Ward, who had 24 digs and six assists. Alyssa Lail was another key player, getting six kills, four digs, and one block.

The win got East Rutherford back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, East Rutherford will square off against McDowell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Lincoln, they will venture away from home to take on North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
