Soccer Recap: Hampton County Gets the Win

After failing to score in their last match, Hampton County made sure to put some goals up on the board against Palmetto Scholars Academy on Thursday. While the 5-5 score might suggest a draw, it was the Hurricanes who were credited with the victory. This was payback for they, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

They hit Palmetto Scholars Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Juan Banegas (2), Rafe Sullivan (2), and Jake Runkle.

The win got Hampton County back to even at 1-1.

Hampton County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Royal Live Oaks Academy on the 23rd. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. John's at 7:00 p.m. on March 5.
