Lorena is a perfect 10-0 against La Vega since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lorena Leopards will head out to challenge the La Vega Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Lorena is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Lorena can't be too worried about heading out to take on La Vega: they just beat Godley at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. Lorena walked away with an 8-3 victory over Godley on Saturday.

Gabby Gomez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off 11 hits. Gomez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Brooklynn Rodriguez and Isabella Davis did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple, while Davis went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That triple marked the first that Rodriguez hit this season. Another player making a difference was Abby Generals, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Lorena lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, La Vega came up short against West on Wednesday, falling 16-1. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lorena's record now sits at 10-4. As for La Vega, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Lorena took their win against La Vega when the teams last played back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lorena since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
