Softball Recap: West Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

West Valley waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Eisenhower Cadets as they made off with an 11-3 win. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cadets, too.

Ainsley Johnson ?26 made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Tatum Trammell ?29 was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Madisen Statler ?26 was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

West Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in six consecutive games.

West Valley's record is now 12-5. As for Eisenhower, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

West Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cadets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
