Recap: Columbia Central Lions vs. Blackman Blaze
It was a good run, but the Columbia Central Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 42-29 to Blackman. Columbia Central has not had much luck with Blackman recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anaya Mulholland, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Saviya Morgan, who scored 9 points.
Columbia Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Blackman, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Central will take on Hickman County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickman County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Columbia Central is ranked 13th). As for Blackman, they will head out on the road to face off against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lebanon is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
