Volleyball Recap: Waite Comes Up Short

Waite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southview Cougars, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-4, 25-12.

Southview was led to victory by Liz McGowan and Adyson Brennan. McGowan had seven aces and one assist, while Brennan had five digs and five aces. Brennan has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played.

Waite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southview, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waite will square off against Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southview, they will challenge Clay at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
