Basketball Recap: Hamilton Takes Down East Nicolaus in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Hamilton rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They took down the East Nicolaus Spartans 68-53. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-33 back in December of 2024.

Hamilton was led to victory by Case Porter and Kayden Strong. Porter posted 29 points, while Strong put up 19 points along with five boards and five steals. Strong is becoming a predictor of Hamilton's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 10-13 when he doesn't). Caden Stickney was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

The win got Hamilton back to even at 13-13. As for East Nicolaus, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-15.

Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-47 loss against Weed on the 21st. East Nicolaus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
