Softball Recap: North Stokes Comes Up Short

North Stokes lost against Starmount back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings lost 12-2 to the Rams. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Caroline Mabe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Rori Long also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

North Stokes' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Starmount, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Coming up, North Stokes will take on Alleghany at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Starmount, they will square off against Ashe County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
