            Baseball Recap: Nestucca Bobcats vs. Kennedy Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Nestucca was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell  8-5 to the Kennedy Trojans. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2018.

  Jaxon Jensen was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Nestucca is 2-1 when he allows at  most  three  earned runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Jensen was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. That  stolen base marked the first that  he has  snagged this season.
Nestucca's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Kennedy, the  win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.
 Nestucca wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  9-8  loss against Vernonia on the 15th. As for Kennedy, they have also already played their next match,  a  9-4  victory against Country Christian on the 15th.
