Football Recap: Harvey Extends Winning Streak to Three

Orange came into Friday's game looking for another win against Harvey, but Shahn Alston wouldn't allow it. The Red Raiders enjoyed a cozy 56-42 victory over the Lions on Friday for which the team can thank Alston, who rushed for 284 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 90 receiving yards and one score. His longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.

Markese Wise was another key player, throwing for 241 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Harvey's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Harvey didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Wise. Another thorn in Orange's side was Jeremiah Rowdy, who made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The win was the third in a row for Harvey, bringing their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Orange, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
