Football Game Preview: Lakeside Knights vs. Wallace Miners

The Lakeside Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Wallace Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside will be strutting in after a win while Wallace will be coming in after a loss.

Lakeside is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Clark Fork on Friday as they made off with a 46-24 victory. The Knights not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 26, 2024 (when they won 66-28).

Meanwhile, Wallace faced Coeur du Christ Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Miners lost 38-18 to the Saints.

Lakeside will have to keep a close watch on Cooper Miller and Lennox Radford, a pair of players who had a big impact on Wallace's prior game. Miller rushed for 78 yards and a pair of scores, while Radford picked up 137 receiving yards and one touchdown. Radford also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending one pass.

Lakeside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Wallace, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Lakeside came up short against Wallace in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 54-46. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Miller, who rushed for 266 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns. Now that the Knights know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
