Football Game Preview: Chaparral Wolverines vs. Pine Creek Eagles + How To Watch

Chaparral hasn't had much luck against Pine Creek recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Chaparral has given up an average of 40.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Chaparral had to suffer through a 50-7 loss at the hands of Legend. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Titans are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Creek). They came out on top against Douglas County by a score of 55-48 on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Chaparral better keep an eye on Xavier Lukes. He was instrumental in Pine Creek's win, rushing for 303 yards while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Lukes is now averaging an impressive 119.3 rushing yards per game.

Pine Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 372 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Pine Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayson Lightfoot and Westin Hansen. Lightfoot also made ten total tackles, which is notable because Pine Creek is 3-1 when he posts at least four total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

Pine Creek now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Chaparral, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Chaparral was dealt a bruising 49-8 loss at the hands of Pine Creek in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolverines were down 41-0.
