Football Game Preview: Battle Creek Grizzlies vs. Pearl-Cohn Firebirds + Official Tickets

The Battle Creek Grizzlies will square off against the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Battle Creek has given up an average of 36.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Battle Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 victory over Hickman County on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Battle Creek relied on the efforts of Stanley Williams Jr, who picked up 198 receiving yards and five touchdowns, and Colten Barba, who threw for 262 yards and five TDs while completing 76% of his passes. Barba's passing game has become a key predictor of the Grizzlies' success: the team is 4-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Pearl-Cohn humbled Liberty Creek with a 42-10 victory. The Firebirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 32 points or more this season.

Battle Creek better keep an eye on LADAMION HUNTER. He was instrumental in Pearl-Cohn's win, picking up 90 receiving yards and one score.
