Basketball Recap: Grayson County Gets the Win

Grayson County lost to Alleghany back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Blue Devils walked away with a 40-30 win over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Zach Weatherman had a dynamite game, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverik Goad, who posted 14 points.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Lemasters, who had 12 points. Connor Ramirez was another key player, putting up seven points.

Grayson County's record now sits at 2-0. As for Alleghany, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Grayson County by a score of 68-58 on Friday.
