Softball Recap: Atlantic Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Taylor, Atlantic was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Seabreeze Sandcrabs. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Sharks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Amelia Reavis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Kendal Carson was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Leonardi, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Atlantic's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Seabreeze, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coincidentally, Atlantic and Seabreeze will both be playing Pine Ridge the next time they take the field. Seabreeze will host Pine Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Atlantic will host them at 4:30 p.m. on March 27th.
