Softball Recap: Rappahannock County's Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Rappahannock County had lost nine games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-12 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 13-9 win over the Luray Bulldogs. Rappahannock County's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Luray, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly four runs.

For Luray's part, Lakin Vile was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Vile also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Emilee Hassett was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
