Softball Recap: Western Hills Wolverines vs. North Oldham Mustangs
Western Hills's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the North Oldham Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Makayla Young was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Young, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

As for North Oldham, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Silver Creek at 6:00 p.m. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
