Basketball Recap: Belleville West's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

There's no place like home for Belleville West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 62-39 margin over the Mascoutah Indians on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Maroons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Belleville West's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13. As for Mascoutah, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-9.

Belleville West and Mascoutah should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Belleville West (ranked 182nd) will meet Springfield Southeast (ranked 511th) at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mascoutah will square off against Jersey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 266 places (86 vs. 352).
