Basketball Recap: Lemon Bay Gets the Win

Lemon Bay hadn't done well against North Port recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Lemon Bay Manta Rays slipped by the North Port Bobcats 49-48. This was a revenge game for the Manta Rays: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in November of 2024, they had to take a 56-47 loss.

The victory made it two in a row for Lemon Bay and bumps their season record up to 6-9. As for North Port, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Lemon Bay will try to stop Cardinal Mooney's 15-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, North Port will challenge First Baptist Academy and their six-game winning streak at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday.
