Baseball Recap: Northmont Victorious

Northmont had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Payton College Prep Grizzlies on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Jayden Snyder, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Sauber, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Payton College Prep is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Northmont will head out to square off against Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Payton College Prep, they will take on Springboro at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
