Basketball Recap: National Trail Comes Up Short

National Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 48-32 to the Arcanum Trojans. If the Blazers were looking for revenge after losing 56-54 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Matthew Mccans had an outrageously good game for Arcanum as he went 6-for-12 to rack up 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Mccans is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cohen Etherington, who posted six points.

National Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Arcanum, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

National Trail has already played their next contest, a 58-31 loss against Franklin Monroe on the 14th. As for Arcanum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-44 win against Newton Local on the 14th.
