Baseball Recap: Lake Shore Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maryvale, Lake Shore was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Cheektowaga Chargers by a score of 7-3. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Jack Jarzynski tossed a big game, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lake Shore got a massive performance out of Dominick Lagattuta, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Keegan Green was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Lake Shore's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Cheektowaga, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lake Shore beat the Chargers by a score of 10-2 later that day.
