Baseball Recap: First Coast Wins Going Away Against Liberty County

First Coast never let their opponents score on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Liberty County Panthers.

Connor Howlett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Howlett was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Journey Sutton was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Rob Chatman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

First Coast's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Liberty County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, First Coast is taking a road trip to take on Atlantic Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. First Coast's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Atlantic Coast's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Liberty County, they will host Tattnall County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
