Basketball Recap: Lucy Beckham Comes Up Short

Lucy Beckham lost against Berkeley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lucy Beckham Bengals took a blow against the Berkeley Stags, falling 75-36.

Several Bengals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bally Jarrard, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Seifert, who had seven points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berkeley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiyanna Moses, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Demi Gray, who went 5 of 6 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Lucy Beckham now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Berkeley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Lucy Beckham has already played their next game, a 48-34 defeat against Wando on the 1st. As for Berkeley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-28 victory against Goose Creek on the 4th.
