Baseball Recap: Eagle Point Takes a Loss

Eagle Point blew Ashland out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Ashland got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 7-5.

Eagle Point's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.88 runs. As for Ashland, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Grizzlies beat Eagle Point by a score of 2-1 later that day.
