Basketball Recap: Raymond Central Takes a Loss

Raymond Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arlington Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 47-33 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Trent Koger, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 17 boards for Arlington. The game was Koger's third in a row with at least ten points. Schuyler Logemann was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points.

Raymond Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Arlington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Raymond Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Centennial is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. As for Arlington, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Broken Bow at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Broken Bow likes a good challenge.
