Soccer Game Preview: Bowie vs. Lake Travis

The Bowie Bulldogs will square off against the Lake Travis Cavaliers at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Lake Travis will be up against a hot Bowie squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Bowie's defense stepped up to hand Austin a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

They hit Austin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Garrett Herb, Milo? Rodriguez Tomazin, and Alex Moore.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Travis). Everything went their way against Austin on Saturday as Lake Travis made off with a 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Bowie pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matches. As for Lake Travis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
