Basketball Recap: Oakwood's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Oakwood's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Attica Red Ramblers by a score of 47-39. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Comets as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Caydence Vermillion was nothing short of spectacular: she shot 7-for-11 from long range and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Hanner, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Oakwood's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Attica, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin the next time they take the court. Oakwood will head out to face Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Attica will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
