Soccer Recap: Carter-Riverside Takes a Loss

Carter-Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Western Hills Cougars who were credited with the victory. The Western Hills Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Carter-Riverside Eagles' two. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 2-2.

Carter-Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Western Hills, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Carter-Riverside will square off against Eastern Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Hills, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Western Hills challenge Dunbar at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. They will be up against Dunbar's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.54 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
