Soccer Game Preview: Loyola Academy vs. Maine East + Official Tickets

The Loyola Academy Ramblers will square off against the Maine East Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loyola Academy's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Loyola Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Glenbrook North just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. Neither they nor the Spartans could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept Loyola Academy happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 27th.

Meanwhile, Maine East fell victim to Fenwick and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Friars.

Maine East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-2. With that draw, Loyola Academy's record moves to 10-5-3.

Everything went Loyola Academy's way against Maine East in their previous matchup back in October of 2017, as Loyola Academy made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ramblers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
