Canyon is 2-8 against Clemens since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Canyon Cougars will be playing at home against the Clemens Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m.

Canyon is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clemens. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly five runs.

Clemens pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
